Letter of Support from Paul Manly, MP for Nanaimo-Ladysmith

We are well on our way to building our exemption application to Health Canada and we are pleased to share we just received a letter of support from Paul Manly, MP for Nanaimo-Ladysmith.  So far we have gathered letters of support from Aids Vancouver Island, Coastal Research, Education, and Advocacy Network (CREAN), as well as Dr. Brigel, Alex Robb from Trees, as well as two dozen letters from patients who rely on the medicine we provide.

We are still in the process of gathering more letters from local politicians working in the municipal, provincial and federal governments. We are also working on gathering evidence that supports our claim through the lens of economics as well as more letters of support from health care practitioners.

Our goal is to submit our application chalk full of evidence as to why the VCBC deserves an exemption from the Cannabis Act from Health Canada. We need a license that will allow our club to continue selling medicine to patients in our store front, to develop a license that would allow us to operate our bakery, and to find a pathway to legally incorporate our growers.

If you have any questions or would like to send in your letter of support, please send us an email to hellovcbc@gmail.com
